Food insecurity is a risk factor, and is often a part of intimate partner violence. In creating protective environments and healthy communities, we need to be mindful of social determinants of health. Food insecurity also gets worse in the summer, since school children may not received meals they would have normally gotten through school programs. Join us to learn about the relationship between food, power, and control.
