Domestic violence programs in California are facing an estimated 43% cut to their main source of funding. If we allow these cuts to take place, survivors will have less safe places to stay, helplines will have to operate during limited hours, and trauma-informed counseling waitlists will grow longer. Some programs have already had to cut attorneys that assist survivors with restraining orders.

This isn’t just domestic violence programs. Services that help people experiencing sexual assault, human trafficking, child abuse, elder abuse and other crimes will be affected as well. You can read more about it here.

The Partnership and 200+ other organizations have called on Governor Newsom and the California Legislature to provide $200 million in funding to stop these cuts. We are also co-sponsoring 2 bills that would stabilize crime victim services.

Join us at this rally to support survivors, stop these cuts, and provide stability for crime victim services.

Together let’s rise up for survivors!
