Campaigns and Events

The Partnership leads annual statewide events to inspire, inform and connect all those concerned with domestic violence, because we know that together, we’re stronger.

Statewide Domestic Violence Conference

Our annual conference brings together nearly 400 attendees, including members of our coalition, allied professionals, and the public at-large to explore the issue of domestic violence through a broader community landscape. Each year we have lots of workshops, keynote speakers, and discussions about ways people are addressing domestic violence in their communities.

This year’s conference will be in Garden Grove on November 4-6, 2025. More information will be available soon.

Policy Advocacy Day

In the spring, we bring Partnership members to Sacramento to meet with their representatives to advocate for the interests of survivors and their families.  Advocates, preventionists, and survivors meet with legislators to advocate for policies that change the social conditions that can lead to violence and provide an effective response once it has occurred. This year’s Policy Advocacy Day will be on May 20, 2025. This is a members-only event. Not a member yet? Click here for more information on how to join.

Annual Membership Meeting

In the Spring, the Partnership convenes our members and shares our vision for the year ahead. Members have a chance to learn from Partnership Teams, discover what peers across the state have been working on, and join conversations about the biggest issues affecting our movement. To attend, become a member or renew your membership.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Every October, we release a campaign with tools for our members and all Californians to deepen their involvement with the domestic violence movement. Sharing social media posts, talking points for legislative offices, sample resolutions, and more, we shed light on the issues affecting survivors every day: gun violence, homelessness, teen dating violence, financial abuse and economic injustice, and more. We dig deep into solutions—especially those that prevent domestic violence in the first place. For content from prior years’ campaigns, please contact communications@cpedv.org.

Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month

Each February, we observe Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month (TDVAPM) to raise awareness and drive action. To ensure meaningful youth engagement, we convene a Youth Advisory Board that guides the planning and implementation of activities. Throughout the month, we also provide webinars, training, and resources to the field, including the development and dissemination of toolkits that support education, advocacy, and prevention efforts statewide. For more information or if you are interested in participating, please contact prevention@cpedv.org.
