Media Advocacy
We have seen news coverage of many tragedies that have increased awareness of domestic violence and influenced public discourse—but what works to inspire action? The Partnership’s Communications Team works on four key media strategies to change the media landscape around domestic violence in California:
- Training and supporting survivors and youth leaders to get their stories and solutions published
- Sharing root causes of domestic violence
- Amplifying effective solutions from our network of advocates and preventionists
- Working with journalists to create a more trauma-informed and solutions focused approach to domestic violence coverage
