The Partnership Nominates California Health Report Journalist Hannah Guzik for Media Visionary Award
The Partnership was proud to nominate California Health Report journalist Hannah Guzik for the Mary Kay Ash Heart of Courage Media Visionary Award—an honor for one “who has consistently leverage[ed] their role in the media to draw attention to domestic violence and/or dating abuse.” Though she was not selected this year, Hannah deserves recognition for her in-depth reporting on domestic violence in California. Uniquely, her stories uncover not only the experiences of the most marginalized survivors, but also the policies impacting their lives. The articles bring an understanding of the bigger picture of domestic violence in our state, and highlight solutions that are at work. Knowledge of these solutions—policies and innovative work in communities—bring Californians hope and energy for ending domestic violence.
