Town Hall: Discussion on Executive Order to Clear Encampments
On July 25, Governor Gavin Newsom issued an executive order “directing state agencies to urgently address homeless encampments,” a decision with significant impacts in communities across the state.
On Tuesday September 17th from 12:00pm-1:00pm the
Partnership held a discussion in response to the Governor’s
Executive Order to swiftly address encampments across the
state.
The goal of the town hall was to allow community space for
discussion around how this issue is showing up in communities and
reflect on how this impacts survivors experiencing homelessness.
Agencies were encouraged to share how they are in discussion
with partners to support those who are unsheltered during the
sweeps.
